Flashback Appearance(s)

Synopsis:
Superman plans to take a group of orphans to the circus, but a quarantine has made it impossible for them to go. To keep his promise to the children, Superman performs various circus acts outside the orphanage for the children to see.

The act reminds Superman of his own life as a baby. Shortly after being adopted by the Kents, Clark was lost while the family was on a vacation cruise. The Kents thought that he was dead, but he was found and taken to an orphanage. Three families tried to adopt him, but in each case his powers caused the adoptions to fall through. Baby Clark was repeatedly returned to the orphanage where he was eventually reunited with the Kents.
