Synopsis:
As a gang of vandals plagues Metropolis, cub reporter Will Whitman tries to earn a job at the Daily Planet. Frustrated that his reporters can't get the story, Perry White begins to investigate on his own. The vandals threaten Perry, leading Superman to offer his services as a protector. Both Perry and Whitman discover that the vandals are running an insurance scam. When Perry is kidnapped, Whitman helps Superman track him down and capture the crooks. Whitman earns a job at the Daily Planet and is revealed to be Perry's son Will White.
