Synopsis:
Johnny Peril finds a strangely dressed man in the middle of the road in southern Utah. The man, Lewis, explains that when his car broke down he looked for help. He walked through a stone arch which transported him back in time.

He arrived near the city of Shan ruled by Queen Terah. After being made to compete in an arena, Lewis won his freedom and the love of the queen. He planned to return with her to his own time through the arch.

Before leaving Lewis took the ruby eyes embedded in the statue representing the god Kloss. Pursued by the high priest Lewis and Terah made it through the portal and returned to the present. However, Terah aged hundreds of years in moments and died. Lewis went mad and was found by Johnny.

Johnny and his friend Professor Rome later returned to the area to find the doorway. They did not find it, but they found the queen's belt proving that Lewis's story was true.
