Synopsis:
While Superman is handling emergencies around the world, Jimmy Olsen protects Metropolis as Wonder Lad. He uses a special costume given to him by the Man of Steel, which gives him the powers of flight and invulnerability.

A newsboy, Tommy Todd, becomes Wonder Lad's pal. Jimmy gives Tommy a pen that allows him to signal Wonder Lad. Crooks capture Tommy in order to learn Wonder Lad's secret identity. Tommy signals Jimmy for help, but the supersonic vibrations of the pen destroy the Wonder Lad suit. Tommy is able to signal Superman to rescue them, but Jimmy's career as Wonder Lad is over.
