Synopsis:
Jimmy receives a visit from a genealogy professor. Professor Shaw tells Jimmy that he is a descendant of Greenbeard Olsen. Legend says that Jimmy will revert to pirate ways under the full moon.

To prove the legend false, Jimmy and the Daily Planet staff board a ship dressed in pirate garb. At night Jimmy begins acting as pirate. In the morning he does not remember his actions. When the ship crashes into an iceberg, Jimmy is blamed. Superman proves that the professor was responsible, using a substitute for Jimmy at night. Jimmy's name is cleared, and Shaw is apprehended.
