Synopsis:
Linda Strauss, as Doctor Fate, Petey, and Deadman encounter Indra, king of Fourth Heaven outside the building of Joachim Hesse. Indra is responsible for causing chaos everywhere in the city while attempting to enter the building and kill Hesse. A barrier protects the building which Doctor Fate is able to penetrate.
Inside, they group finds Hesse protected inside a magic circle. Indra is unable to break the circle, while Hesse is performing the ritual to take the throne of Fourth Heaven. The ritual requires that Hesse not eat or sleep for 40 days. Deadman has a solution. He orders chinese take-out and begins eating it with Petey just outside the circle. Hesse, who has not eaten in weeks, breaks the circle to share in the food. Once Joachim steps outside the circle, the spell is broken, and Indra ceases his destruction.
Doctor Fate returns home where Nabu informs her that Eric is dead.
