The woman named Kara in this story is clearly Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl. In the post-Crisis universe, Supergirl did not exist, which is alluded to in her dialogue.

Synopsis:
Deadman takes over the body of a ruthless millionaire whose actions caused many people to lose their jobs. In control, Deadman uses the man to give the people pensions. He also sends Christmas gifts to his friends in the circus. Later, he takes over the body of a man named Paul and uses him to attend a Christmas party. However, his conscience causes him to abandon the body, so the man can enjoy the party himself.

Deadman then sulks. His life as a spirit is especially troubling during the holidays. Then a blonde woman passes by who can clearly see him and knows who he is. Deadman does not recognize her, but he assumes she is being of magic. The woman denies any involvement with magic. As Deadman and the woman converse, she causes Deadman to feel good about himself despite his predicament as a ghost. He takes comfort in helping others.

The woman then departs, leaving Deadman with her name, Kara.
