Synopsis:
Superman defeats secretary Barb Kowaleksi who has been transformed into the super-villain Arathaza by a magic jewel. During her defeat the jewel falls into a graveyard and empowers evil spirits that linger there. The Phantom Stranger brings Superman to the scene to battle the physical manifestation of the spirits which have created a giant earth creature. The Stranger then confronts the spirits on a spiritual level. When the spirits are weakest, Superman lifts the creature into space, breaking its contact with the Earth. Superman then destroys the jewels ensuring that it will no longer be a threat.
