Synopsis:
After finding Bennet Young murdered, Bruce Wayne searches the museum for the killer. He is nearly shot with an arrow, then he is forced to break off pursuit when the police arrive. Later Batman follows and confronts the same gang of drug dealers who tried to kill Jimmy Fong. The bowman from the museum, now wearing the stolen bat mask from the museum, strikes again. Batman eludes him.
Seeking a connection between the Chubala cult and the bat mask, Bruce questions Madison Spurlock. Spurlock denies a connection. He is then shot with an arrow from the assailant in the bat mask. Having failed in three encounters with his opponent, Bruce begins to doubt himself.
Bruce then travels to Alaska. He soon finds the indian shaman who healed him. The old man is now a drunk. His granddaughter blames Bruce for sending Spurlock. The anthropologist corrupted the tribe and supplied drugs to the elders to learn their secrets. Before leaving, Spurlock stole many items including the bat mask. Before she can finish her tale, the woman and Bruce are driven off the road by another vehicle.
