Synopsis:
Police contact Ray Palmer after an importer is robbed by a robot insect. Ray investigates as the Atom and battles the insect. Though he fails to stop the bug or its master on two occasions, his investigation leads him to Bertram Larvan, an entomologist. Larvan is really the bandit and sends the robot insect to kill Ray. It fails, so Ray confronts Bertram as the Atom. Larvan dons his own costume as the Bug-Eyed Bandit. He has also deduced Ray's secret identity. Atom defeats his foe, then uses the special gas from one of the robot bugs. The gas causes Larvan to forget Ray's secret.
