Synopsis:
Two Macrolatts have possessed Superman and Nuklon. While the Justice League engages them in combat, Batman learns the truth from the Weird. The League is quickly overpowered by their foes. The villains then begin to destroy Metropolis in flame.

Realizing that physical combat will not stop the Macrolatts, the Weird surrenders without a fight. He talks to beings in possession of the humans and claims to have knowledge that they do not possess. As he draws them in, the Weird enrages his foes, but he continues to act meek and humble. Eventually he gets close enough to pull the Macrolatts out of the bodies of their hosts.

The Weird then destroy the Macrolatts. Superman and Nuklon return to normal. The heroes thank the Weird for his efforts, but they soon learn that his body is still unstable and will soon explode. Before fate claims him, the Weird constructs a monument off the coast for Billy Langley, the son of his host body. Superman and Guy Gardner then escort him to a remote planet. The instability in his body finally claims him, and the Weird explodes.
