Comments:
Although the premise is contradicted multiple times in other DC Universe stories, Rip Hunter believes that a person can only use the same form of time travel once in their life. To travel again they must use another means.
Daniel G. Hunter, the revolutionary war compatriot of Tomahawk, is revealed to be Rip's grandfather's great grandfather in this story.
This story continues in Time Masters #2.
Synopsis:
Vandal Savage orders the destruction of Rip Hunter's lab where he is developing alternative forms of time travel. Due to the damage, Hunter's benefactor Will Magnus refuses to continue the project. Hunter links the sabotage to the legendary illuminati.
Rip decides to put together a team of time travels to use existing means of time travel, though Rip himself is unable to participate directly. He asks Booster Gold to help find volunteers. He also recruits his research partner Jeff Smith and Cave Carson's former research assistant Bonnie Baxter.
