Synopsis:
Nergal uses Tefe to feed the gardens of Hell. Swamp Thing and his companions Abin Sur and Bartle arrive to demand her return. Swamp Thing finds that his powers are outmatched by Nergal while they reside in Hell. However, Anton Arcane plots against Nergal. He provides Bartle information which helps him use Tefe to open a portal back to Earth.
When Bartle frees Tefe, her connection to the plant system in Hell opens the portal wider than anticipated. Abin Sur and Bartle are returned to their rightful places in the afterlife, while Nergal's domain is destroyed. Swamp Thing then returns home with Tefe's soul.
