Synopsis:
Starman is held captive at the Hutchings Institute after being captured by the Power Elite. Doctor Melrose wants to siphons off Starman's power and transfer it to his own subjects. When news of an alien invasion breaks, Melrose orders the facility locked down. However, a Durlan spy masquerading as Alan Madison is still inside. The Durlan notifies the alien alliance that Starman is worth studying, so a transport ship is dispatched to pick him up.
The Durlan is able to smuggle Starman out of the Institute and aboard the Khund ship. However, he is captured. The transport ship is intercepted before it can return to the alien fleet by Firestorm, Firehawk, and Power Girl. Starman also breaks free and overpowers the Khund pilot.
The four heroes then head to the South Pacific where a battle is underway. The Khunds fire on their own ship and destroy it. However, the heroes exit the ship and lend a hand to Easy Company who are fighting the Khunds. They are victorious. During the battle Starman also liberates Adam Strange, who had been a captive of the aliens. He puts the heroes in touch with the Justice League, who want them to come to a meeting being convened by Captain Atom.
