Synopsis:
When Adam Strange returns to Rann, he is arrested and suspected of stealing weapons from Ranagar's vaults. During his trial, Adam is abducted by a race of underground rock people who were guilty of the theft. They plan to invade the surface world and challenge Adam to stop them. He fails and is sent back to Ranagar.

When he disappeared from the trial Adam was declared guilty. The authorities have orders to shoot him on sight, but Adam secretly meets with Alanna. When the invasion begins, Adam feigns injury, so that the Ranagaran's don't shoot him. Then he works with sharp shooters, gathered by Alanna to defeat the invaders. Following the defeat of the invaders, Xaltan Tor, the council leader, proclaims Adam innocent of all charges.
