Comments:
The Star-Spangled Kid only appears briefly as Sylvester Pemberton in this story. Merry takes the starring role.

Synopsis:
The Rope escapes from prison while Sylvester and his father are on a fishing trip. Merry dons her costume and tries to stop the crook from stealing jewels worn by costume contest participants. The Rope's first two thefts succeed, but Merry stops him on the third try. Then the Rope is returned to prison.
