Synopsis:
Clark Kent wins an opportunity to become a reporter for the Daily Planet as part of school contest. Lois Lane is also selected, and the two young students meet for the first time.
Lois and Clark compete for a top story. When crooks use sleeping gas on bystanders, so they can rob a local store, Clark pretends to be affected. He then slips away to become Superboy. The Boy of Steel prevents injury. However, the crooks get away, and Lois gets the story.
Clark tries again, but so does Lois. She tracks down the crooks, forcing Superboy to rescue her. This time Superboy apprehends the gang, but once again Lois gets the story. Lois and Clark return to their hometowns with Lois coming out on top as a reporter.
