Synopsis:
When the baggage train he is riding on is derailed, Rex gets loose and meets wanderer Hank Sears. Hank is a former ranch hand who has lost his nerve after being thrown from a steer. Rex and Hank return to the ranch where the foreman is the leader of a gang of bank robbers. Hank can identify the robbers, so the crooks try to eliminate him. Rex protects Hank and exposes the bandits. In the process, Hank regains his nerve and earns back his job. After capturing the bandits, Rex's owners are located, and he is returned home.
