Synopsis:
A criminal gang breaks into a warehouse guarded by Three-Eye Reardon, a special forces veteran. The gang is able to knock him out, then they prepare to blow the vault. Batman arrives and tries to stop the fuse from detonating the explosives. Before he can finish, Reardon awakens. His vision is blurry causing him to believe it was Batman who knocked him out. Reardon attacks Batman, preventing him from defusing the bomb. When it explodes, Reardon and Batman are both affected by the blast.

Sensing that Reardon could be an asset, the gang brings him to a doctor. His eyesight is permanently destroyed, but the doctor performs an experimental surgery which allows him to see with his fingers. Meanwhile, Batman visits the same doctor due to double vision caused by the explosion. Batman's vision will recover in time, but he is forced to concoct a mechanism which allows Alfred to guide him.

When Reardon sees Batman visiting the doctor he surprises him with an attack. Alfred is able to help Batman regain his senses, though he still suffers from vision problems. Despite the disability, Batman is able to defeat Reardon, but after checking on the doctor, he discovers that the Ten Eyed Man has fled.
