Strong Bow has heard legends of the Sun-Makers, a tribe led by Chief Omanapai. This tribe demands tribute from nearby tribes as they claim to be responsible for the rising sun. Strong Bow seeks to expose the legend as a fraud. His initial efforts earn the wrath of Omanapai. The chief sees rain clouds approaching and uses them to claim to deny the people the sun. To convince them of Omanapai's deceit, Strong Bow constructs a giant bow which fires a giant flaming arrow upward, lighting the sky. The people turn against Omanapai, who tries and fails to get even with Strong Bow. When he is defeated, the tribes send him and his followers into exile.
