Synopsis:
Matt Hagen escapes from prison and resumes his Clayface identity. Batman and Robin try to capture him, but Clayface's powers make their task difficult. Superman arrives to help them, so Clayface molds himself into the shape of Superman. He fights Superman to a draw, then destroys a grandstand to keep his opponent busy.

Batman and Robin get a piece of Kryptonite to use against the Clayface-Superman. While the Kryptonite weakens him, he transforms into another form and escapes. Once out of range Clayface resumes his Superman form.

Superman uses Red Kryptonite on Clayface causing him to go out of control. While under the influence, Clayface causes damage and learns Batman's secret identity. However, Superman's strategy is effective, because Clayface's powers then wear out. He reverts to Matt Hagen and forgets the fact that he learned Batman's secret.
