Synopsis:
Discredited scientist Professor Vilmer creates a synthetic man named Adam Newman. Vilmer uses Newman to get even with the university that fired him. Newman begins to rebel, but Vilmer maintains control through an elixir which Newman must drink each day to sustain his life. When Vilmer orders Newman to kill Batman, Newman finally defies his orders. Batman then discovers that Newman is not synthetic at all. He is an ordinary man given amnesia by Vilmer. Batman disguises himself as Newman to get close to Vilmer, then apprehends the rogue scientist. Afterwards, Newman is given back his life as athlete Johnny Marden.
