Synopsis:
Gotham City and Metropolis are menaced by illusions of Batman and Superman. The real heroes arrive to stop the panic. Next, the heroes face more illusions which disappear once a crime has been committed and the crooks have escaped.

When the crooks strike again, Batman and Robin realize which crooks are real because the illusions have no shadows. The crooks get away, but Batman analyzes the clues and determines their hide-out’s location.

Superman and the Dynamic Duo arrive, but the creator of the illusion machine, the Atom-Master, traps Batman and forces Superman to leave. Superman does so, but then returns at super-speed, knocking out the Atom-Master. Finally, he uses an illusion of his own to trick the gang into releasing Batman.
