Synopsis:
After rescuing an islander from a whirlpool, Aquaman and Aqualad learn of a demon which has menaced the local people. The demon shows up and demands tribute from the islanders, so Aquaman goes to stop him.

Using a trident, the demon mysteriously prevents Aquaman from approaching. Even Aquaman’s fish friends are unable to stop the demon. Aquaman has an idea however and rides a whale to get close. Aquaman is able to knock out the demon and bring him ashore. The demon is really a crook in disguise, using an electric trident, which sent paralyzing bolts of electricity into the water when anyone approached. With the crook exposed, the islanders vow to forget their demon superstitions.
