Synopsis:
A thug named Iron-Fist Gookin is well-known for his incredible strength and feeble mind. After witnesses Big Words of the Newsboy Legion give a sales pitch for war bonds, Gookin enlists the newsboy to teach him some words to impress his fellow crooks.

Gookin uses the newly learned words, but the crooks are not impressed. However, gang boss Sharpy Pierce, sees it as an opportunity to use Gookin. He pretends to make Iron-Fist the new gang leader, then leaves him for the cops to pick up. Gookin beats the cops, but is later double-crossed again. This time Gookin helps the Guardian and the Newsboy Legion against Sharpy's gang. Gookin receives a light sentence for his involvement which includes a getting formal education.
