This story originally was not titled; the title shown here was given on the contents page of Superman Archives Vol. 4 in which this story is reprinted.
Synopsis:
When Thomas Gayford is murdered by a mysterious Archer, Clark Kent is sent to report the story. The Archer tries to kill Kent and Lois Lane by cutting the brake lines of their car. Kent, is able to use his powers and rescue Lois. Then he tries to track down the Archer.
Lois finds the Archer first when she intercepts a message from an informant. Superman finds Lois and Jimmy Olsen, who has tagged along, in danger, but he arrives in time to rescue them and capture the Archer.
