Synopsis:
Lois Lane is approached by an elderly couple to investigate the Guybart Gold Mine in which they have stock. The apparently worthless stock is suddenly a hot item as several bandits try to steal it from Lois. Lois visits the mine, suspecting it to be valuable. She learns that it is not, but several mines in the area have been robbed.
Lois becomes trapped in the mine, but Superman rescues her and reveals a secret entrance. Near the hidden area is a stockpile of gold. Lois shows the other miners the gold. One of the bandits then holds her at gunpoint and takes the gold.
Superman intervenes, stopping the bandits. Brock Walters, owner of another mine, was behind the robberies. He hid the gold in the worthless Guybart Mine and tried to buy the stock to prevent anyone from investigating the mine. Lois receives a reward for the capture of the bandits, and she gives it to the elderly couple.
