Synopsis:
On their way to attack Heart-Break Ridge, Sgt. Rock and Easy Company meet the lone survivors of the Cameron Highlanders, Pipe Sgt. MacDuncan. MacDuncan's unit was killed attacking the ridge. Rock invites him to join Easy for the attack. Many of the soldiers urge MacDuncan to play a tune, but the piper refuses until Easy proves itself worthy.

Easy attacks the ridge, which is heavily defended. After each obstacle is cleared, Easy asks MacDuncan to play a tune. The piper continues his silence, until Easy has reached the final obstacle. MacDuncan then plays a tune on the bagpipes, while Easy defeats the Germans. Easy succeeds both in taking the hill and proving itself worthy of song.
