Synopsis:
Adam Strange arrives on Rann to find a stranger that looks exactly like him. He learns that the stranger is an exile from another dimension, Horton Var. Adam agrees to help Var against the Warlords of Kai. They stage Var’s death in a duel to make the Warlords think he is dead. Then Adam uses a teleporter to travel to their dimension.

Adam finds himself stranded on the world, Maragol. Var tricked him to clear the way for an invasion of Rann. When the Zeta-Beam returns Adam to Earth, he uses the teleporter machine to return to Rann. He then helps Alanna resist the invaders, using the teleporter to send them away.

Since he arrived on Rann using the teleporter, Adam is stuck there without the Zeta-Beam being able to return him to Earth.
