Synopsis:
When Adam Strange returns to Rann via Zeta-Beam, he finds that Alanna is missing. An unmanned flying car picks him up and takes him to a previously unknown location on Rann. An energi-being named Nimar has kidnapped Alanna and threatens to conquer Rann with an army of lifeless statues. Adam takes up Nimar's challenge to stop him.

Adam returns to Ranagar and battles the statue army. When his efforts prove futile, he returns to Nimar. He realizes that Nimar's control of the army only extends to inanimate matter via thought control. Adam hypothesizes that Nimar can be defeated using thought-power. Adam commands Nimar to desist his attack, then puts the being into suspended animation. Adam's idea is successful; once again he has protected Rann.
