Synopsis:
Several robberies are committed by a female crook that witnesses claim turned into a swan to escape. The swan is arrested, and Jean Loring is assigned to defend it. The Atom testifies that he did not see the girl transform.

During the trial he learns of a book about the swan girl legend. He learns the book was checked out of the library by Doro Briggs. When he confronts her, she reveals herself as the thief. The Atom obtains her confession using a hidden tape recorder, learning that she used the trained swan to trick witnesses.
