Comments:
This issue is labeled as an Invasion First Strike Extra.

This story occurs concurrently with Flash #21. Flash, Chunk, Manhunter, Fidel Castro and the Durlans all appear concurrently. The appearances of Mary West and Frank West in this story follow their appearance in Flash #21.

Mary West is depicted as living in a large mansion in this story. This depiction is inaccurate. Wally West had lost his fortune by this time and was destitute. He and his mother had been living in a tiny apartment and were recently evicted.

Synopsis:
Manhunter is hired by Mary West, the mother of the Flash, to find her son and bring him home. Wally has joined the resistance to the alien invasion in Cuba. Shaw tries to stop Wally at the airport, but the plane takes off. Manhunter hitches a ride, but the plane crashes in the Cuban jungle.

When he regains consciousness from the crash, Manhunter locates Wally who is in the company of Fidel Castro. Mark covertly protects Wally from Durlan shape-shifters before he himself is captured. He escapes and secretly helps the Flash again, before finally reaching a stand-off with one of the Durlans. Eventually the Durlans retreat. Mark then makes contact with Wally's father and learns that the Flash has returned to America.
