Synopsis:
Perry White reflects on days gone by. After spending two years in Southeast Asia as a reporter for the Daily Planet, Perry returned to Metropolis. He found that Lex Luthor, the owner of the Planet, was selling the paper. He also discovered that his girlfriend Alice Spencer had become involved with Lex.

Perry and Alice patch up their relationship and get married. Perry also calls in favors and gets a businessman named Ling to by the paper. To finalize the deal, Perry agrees to become the editor. A short time later, Alice announces she is pregnant. Perry is overjoyed, but Alice is secretly torn, since she knows the baby's real father is Lex.
