Synopsis:
Green Lantern tries to recover aboard the remains of a yellow satellite which has been destroyed by Malvolio. The self-proclaimed Lord of the Green Flame tells Hal that his father was an alien Green Lantern who met an Earth woman in the 17th century. Malvolio was born of their union, and when he grew older he killed his father and took his power ring. Malvolio then came to his father's homeworld and has been at war with the priest whom Hal Jordan met some time earlier.

While the lunatic is talking Green Lantern recovers his wits. He then fights back, knocking Malvolio to the ground. However, the madman catches Hal offguard and destroys his power ring with the yellow beam of a ray gun.
