Synopsis:
After helping some aliens on a distant planet, Superman is caught in the explosion of a super-nova. The blast sends him to a barren world inhabited by a disembodied brain named Kond. The alien brain requests the help of the Man of Steel to find Rija his mate who has taken physical form.
Superman heads to the surface of the planet and locates Rija who is threatened by a skeletal creature. He rescues her, then falls under her hypnotic spell. Unable to resist, Superman kisses Rija. Kond is jealous and assumes Superman's form. He then tries to kill the real Man of Steel. Before he can finish the job, Rija is threatened again. Kond tries to save her, but he fails. Superman deduces that the dangers are actually a creation of Rija's own mind. He uses his super-breath to remove the air from around her. Rija nearly dies, but the dangers disappear. Kond then revives her.
Kond apologizes to Superman and gifts him with potions which will cure the ills of humanity back on Earth. When Superman returns he finds that he was transported far into the past by the super-nova. He travels forward in time to his own era, but in so-doing the gifted potions are rendered useless.
