This story is continued from Action Comics Weekly #621 and continues in part in Action Comics Weekly #628.

Synopsis:
Blackhawk and his team make their escape from Sumatra. Van Der Houten learns that the plane containing the microwave generator has been lost inside an active volcano which is in the process of erupting. The Blackhawks board their plane and take to the air. Van Der Houten follows in a fighter plane and attempts to shoot Blackhawk down. Blackhawk leads the smaller plane over the volcano where the eruption destroys it. The Blackhawks are safe. However, Marcia Rossiter who was in the rear of the plane was hit and badly wounded when the plane was fired upon.
