Synopsis:
After saving an alien ship from nearly crashing into the surface of the sun, Green Lantern returns to Earth. As Hal Jordan, he begins a new job as a test pilot for Elite Design Consultants. His first assignment is to test a new jet liner. He leaves his ring behind during the flight. When one of the engines fails, Hal is able to guide the damaged plane back to the ground safely.

After the flight, Hal returns to his locker and charges his power ring. His power battery explodes. A yellow beam exits the lantern and heads into space.
