Synopsis:
John returns to the site of the burned down Casanova Club. The club was once owned by Alex Logue and played host to a performance by John's band the Mucous Membranes. Reports of phenomena and disturbances in the area, brought a young Constantine and his crew back to the club. They make a grizzly discovery in the basement. Logue and several others have been slaughtered during a sex party. Logue's young daughter Astra had been abused by her father and his guests. In response, she summoned the demon that killed him.
John decides to summon a demon of his own to dispatch, Norfulthing, the dog-like demon brought forth by Astra. Most of the team waits outside. Anne-Marie takes the girl upstairs, while John and Judith perform the summoning ritual. At first it seems that John's attempt to summon the demon fail. Only after Anne-Marie walks out an upper story window is it clear that the demon has taken possession of Astra.
The demon, in Astra's form, slays Norfulthing. John commands it to leave Astra, only to find out that he is not in control. He does not know the demon's true name and therefore is powerless. The demon takes the girl to Hell. John walks her to the gates, then tries to rescue her. He makes it out of the club, just as the others are burning it down. However, Astra is dead.
Back in the present, John reflects that the incident caused problems for all the survivors, though now he is the only one still alive. Many of the others haunt him as ghosts. However, he has now learned the name of the demon, Nergal, and John wants his revenge.
