Synopsis:
Clark searches for news of an electrical fire in California which injured Charles Culpepper, the man he believes was working with hired killers in Metropolis. The mystery leads Clark to the police station where Culpepper's intended victim Bob Galt is being questioned by police.

Meanwhile, two of Culpepper's co-conspirators discuss the accident in California. Their conversation reveals that Culpepper escaped from Superman using an experimental teleportation device which was responsible for his injuries.
