"The Fear Part Two"
This story is continued from Detective Comics #592.
Synopsis:
Batman tracks down Cornelius Stirk, a man recently released from Arkham Asylum who is responsible for two murders. Stirk is not home when Batman arrives. He is dumping the body of his latest victim. On the way back, Stirk uses his power to project mental images to lure a security guard into his thrall.
Batman is waiting for Stirk at the apartment. However, Stirk wounds Batman and is able to tie him up. He then tries to capture Batman's fear. He threatens the life of the guard which enrages Batman. The Dark Knight frees himself and finally captures Stirk. The killer is then sent back to Arkham Asylum.
