Synopsis:
Aquaman and the resistance has been victorious in defeating the occupying invasion force. However, Mera was impaled during a fight with Aquaman and now the invaders have surrounded the city. Aquaman mourns the loss of his wife, who suddenly rises from her coffin. Because her alien physiology differs from humans, she survived her injuries. She then opens a portal and returns to her home dimension.

Meanwhile, the people of Atlantis begin starving because of the surrounding forces. The Atlanteans do not have the power to defeat them, but the attackers do not advance either. Finally, one of Aquaman's generals threatens to attack the invaders. Aquaman initially opposes the idea, but he eventually comes to an epiphany regarding the situation.
