Synopsis:
Detective Jim Corrigan captures several members of Gat Benson's gang while they are attempting a robbery. Benson gets even by killing Corrigan and throwing his body off a pier. Corrigan's spirit is then returned to Earth in order to stop Benson and rescue his fiancee, Clarice Winston.

Corrigan is no longer alive, so he pleads with the higher powers to let his spirit move on. However, when Clarice is threatened again, this time by the phony swami Rhami, Jim uses his ghostly powers to save her. In doing so, he condemns himself to remain an avenging spirit on Earth, the Spectre.
