This story is continued from Demon #3.
Synopsis:
Jason and Glenda return to Merlin's castle. Jason enters and with Etrigan's help defeats the gargoyle sentries. Then Jason is able to enter Merlin's chambers and confront the wizard. He demands that the connection between himself and Etrigan be severed. Merlin refuses, so Jason plays music that entrances the wizard.
Jason and Merlin leave the castle, but Jason soon realizes that he is not in control. Merlin enters the forest and is felled by hawthorn. The wizard disappears, and his spells are broken. Merlin is taken by Asteroth to be tortured.
Etrigan is finally able to leave Jason's body. Glenda tries to stop Etrigan with the philosopher's stone, but without Merlin, the stone is powerless. Etrigan then leaves Jason alive and flies away, free from his centuries old prison.
