Synopsis:
At the Ferris Aircraft Company, Hal Jordan searches for his fraternity ring. When he is unable to locate it, Pieface suggests transforming his power ring’s appearance to that of the missing frat ring. Hal does so and then attends his fraternity reunion with his brothers.

While the Jordan brothers are out hunting, Sue Williams drops in on her boyfriend Jim Jordan. Jim is out, so Sue snoops around his house for proof that Jim is Green Lantern. In his bedroom she finds a green lamp which she believes is the power battery.

Hal gets poison ivy while hunting and visits the doctor for treatment. Hal removes his ring so the doctor can treat his hand. Jim Jordan also removes his ring so the doctor can treat him as well. The two rings accidently get mixed up.

When the brothers return home, Sue confronts Jim with her evidence. Jim explains the lamp is from a 1904 Bercedes Menz that he bought from a junk dealer. Jim is amused by Sue’s accusations and humors her by faking the charging of his ring with the lamp. They he wills himself to fly. He is shocked when he does rise up above the floor, but he knocks himself out on the ceiling.

After Sue leaves the room, two crooks peak in the window and see the lamp. They steal the lamp and kidknap the unconscious Jim. Hal sees the theft and attempts to use his ring to stop them. However the ring he is wearing is not the real power ring, and it fails.

Hal follows the crooks to an estate where the crooks boss, Mr. Blackstreet, reveals the purpose of the lamp. In 1912, thieves stole the archduke’s blue diamond. They were caught, but the diamond was never recovered. Blackstreet believes the jewel was placed in the Bercedes Menz. He has reassembled the parts except for the lamp Jim owns.

Hal, as Green Lantern, walks into the room and suggests Jim help him stop the crooks. In close proximity Hal is able to command his ring from Jim’s hand. He pretends to make Jim’s ring into a power ring which it really is. The crooks are easily defeated, and Hal tricks his unsuspecting brother into switching rings. With his power ring back, Hal leaves the crooks with the police and does indeed find the diamond in the lamp. When Jim returns home, he is unable to convince Sue that he is not Green Lantern.
