Synopsis:
Mechanical devices begin to work in opposition to their proper functions. Mavis Trent discovers Hawkman and Hawkgirl’s secret room in the museum, dons Hawkgirl’s costume, and then goes into action with an ignorant Hawkman. The phase-reversal which has caused the malfunction of Midway City’s motors has allowed thieves to get into a bank vault, and Hawkman and the disguised Mavis are led to a laboratory from which the reversal emanates.

The Master Electrician uses manufactured lightning to make his gang appear invisible to Hawkman, but the Winged Wonder apprehends them nonetheless.

The real Hawkgirl appears to reveal Mavis’s masquerade, and Commissioner Emmett throws her off their identity trail by implying that the crimefighters are not married, while the Halls are.
