Synopsis:
Hop bids Gerry farewell as he prepares to leave town. However, Sheriff O'Toole convinces him to stay to watch his election speech. O'Toole is challenged by Rattlesnake Pete, and the two men agree to a shooting match. As the match begins neither man can hit his target.

Meanwhile Ikky has landed at Gerry's farm. She brings him into town on horseback, but Ikky loses control of his horse. Ikky blunders into the middle of the shooting match and proves a better shot than either man. The town wants Ikky to stay as sheriff, but he elects to leave with Hop.

On the return flight home, Hop and Ikky spot a man in the desert. They are forced to land when a vulture crashes through their cockpit window. Hop saves the life of the man who is a prospector. The two depart after repairs are made, while the prospector discovers a vein of gold that their landing exposed.
