Synopsis:
During an exhibition show, Aquaman saves the life of a fortune teller. The woman repays Aquaman by reading his future. The prophecy given to him is that someone new in his life will imperil and replace him.
Later, during a rescue, Aqualad is hit in the head by a sinking ship. After he recovers from the blow, the boy makes off with a statue of Neptune. When Aquaman questions the boy, he has no explanation. Aqualad’s behavior over the next few days is strange as well. The boy has also taken several other items.
One morning, Aquaman awakens to find himself entangled in a net Aqualad has constructed. He is then attacked by a narwhale. Aquaman avoids being injured, but he believes Aqualad is out to get him. The boy arrives and takes Aquaman to a cave which he has turned into a home for both himself and Aquaman. He was secretive because it was a birthday present to Aquaman.
