Comments:
This story takes place during the campaign in North Africa.

Synopsis:
The Unknown Soldier is dispatched to North Africa to see that the tank unit led by Colonel Barton continues their advance. The Soldier disguises himself as a lieutenant and is put in charge of a tank. Barton drives the men hard during maneuvers. One of the men is even killed and several injured in non-combat activities.

The men want to mutiny against Barton. The Unknown Soldier petitions the Colonel to grant the men one night of fun. His request is refused, but the Soldier takes the men out against orders. In the morning the Colonel finds out about the unit's activities, but has orders to advance immediately.

Barton leads the unit into battle and proves to be a brilliant strategist. When the Unknown Soldier's tank is destroyed, he joins Barton's crew. Barton is killed shortly thereafter. The Unknown Soldier then takes Barton's place directing and ultimately winning the battle.
