Synopsis:
Wildcat witnesses a man stealing a truck from a bakery. He attempts to stop the thief, but finds that his opponent is a tough fighter. He follows the crook and sees him deliver the stolen food to the poor. He then approaches the man and learns that he is good-hearted. Wildcat then offers to train the man, Bigfist Conlin, as a boxer.

The training pays off and Conlin becomes an excellent boxer. Stretch Skinner then agrees for him to fight Ted Grant. Ted must train Conlin during the day and Wildcat, then continue to work on his own at night. He even teaches Conlin his own tricks.

The day of the match, a gangster tries to force Conlin to pay him off. Conlin refuses and is kidnapped. Wildcat goes after him, making both men late for their scheduled fight. Wildcat rescues Conlin, then they return to the ring for their fight. Ted wins the bout after a tough fight. Conlin then retires, using his earnings to help others.
