Synopsis:
Weldon, a friend of Commissioner Gordon’s, comes into the possession of a ruby idol with a curse. The previous owner of the idol, Sheldon Lenox, is threatened by the curse and has apparently been killed by a gang of hindu thugs. The police protect the idol, but are eventually called off, leaving the Batman to watch over it.
The idol is stolen by the hindus. Batman follows them to a fence, Sin Fang. Batman asks Fang to turn over the idol, but Fang tries to kill him. Believing Batman dead, Fang is revealed to be Lenox in disguise. He concocted the whole tale to make money off the idol.
Batman escapes death and defeats Lenox. The thief falls to his death with the idol, fulfilling the curse.
